The Seminar

The trauma of divorce brings hurt and pain -- as though our heart is breaking. For a while it seems that we can never put back the pieces. With help and time we begin to see the pieces coming together -- a patch here, a new piece there. This seminar is designed to provide hope and new direction for your life.

Is there life after divorce? We believe that not only is there life, but because of the divorce there are now new opportunities for growth and personal development. Why not join use for a weekend and find out how you can experience the rebuilding of your heart and life following the crushing blow of separation or divorce.

The Program

The Fresh Start program combines educational lectures with small group interaction. We meet Friday night, first for coffee and a time of getting acquainted, then for the scheduled speaker, and finally for small group discussions which help us to process the information. On Saturday, we meet all day for combined sessions, small group interaction and a variety of elective sessions. Saturday, continental breakfast and lunch are included in your registration cost.

Running concurrent with the adult program is Kids in the Middle. This provides a fun and safe place where children (6-10) can learn to cope with the painful transition of separation and divorce. The major themes that are taught include "the divorce is not my fault" and "God will help to heal my heart". This can be the first opportunity for kids to begin to express their feelings about a situation over which they have no control. Please call the church for a brochure.

Singles Ministry

The Single Adult Ministry at Church of the Saviour is broken into several communities, based on age and life experience. Because of the diversity of interests in our groups, we schedule a wide range of social and worship activities. Most single adults find it encouraging to meet with others who have similar goals and life situations. We cordially invite you to visit one of our communities and get to know us.

Quest is a community of 18-25 year old adults that seeks one great thing: to become more like Jesus Christ. We have weekly meetings, Life Group bible studies, and social events.

Epic

COMMON Creed is a Small Church ministry for singles in their 30's and 40's. Whether you are a spiritual seeker or just starting to ask questions about God or a committed Christian wanting to deepen your faith, COMMON Creed is a place you can call home. People from all backgrounds have come here and found spiritual help, hope, and encouragement.

FOCUS

FOCUS is designed for those over thirty who are single, single-again, divorced, widowed, or separated. Focus is designed to encourage you wherever you are in your spiritual journey as you are ministered to, develop and exercise your gifts and talents and enjoy the opportunity to make new and lasting friendships.
